I am proud to say I took and met the NaNoWriMo
(National Novel Writing Month) 2002, 2003 and 2007 challenge. The goal is to write
50,000 words of a novel manuscript from November1st - 30th. I am still quite
amazed at how joyful it feels to create characters and lives and weave them
together. The goal of NaNoWriMo is quantity and not quality as it is an
exercise to discipline yourself to just write...get the ideas down on hard copy.
It is a wonderful adventure and to think of how many stories are born in the
month of November is no less than a beautiful miracle. We are all by
nature creatures of story and this is our glorious privilege as human beings.
Don't think you are not a storyteller. You are. Try it!
This is an incredible amount of fun. People from all over the world participate
and it is a wonderful way to connect with fellow artists and writers. For more
